Bradford School - Pittsburgh, PA
Retail Management

Marketing. Merchandising. Buying. Managing.

As a student in our 16-month Retail Management Associate of Applied Science degree program, you can learn the 4 core areas of Retail: marketing, merchandising, managing, and buying. With these skills, you will have a well-rounded retail education and a marketable portfolio to illustrate your talents.

Through the hands-on curriculum, you will spend time understanding techniques of selling, how to display merchandise, and how the internet has changed Retail Management. Because our classes are smaller, students work closely with faculty members who have industry experience.

HIGHLIGHTS

At IBC, our Retail Management program is taught by faculty with real-world experience. With their help, you can develop the skills that employers want.

Our class sizes are usually smaller, making it easier to get to know your teachers and get personal, one-on-one attention. You will also have the opportunity to complete a retail externship to help you make valuable industry contacts.

During the Retail Management program, you will spend time:

  • Learning sales techniques
  • Understanding marketing and inventory management
  • Creating merchandise displays and using visual merchandising skills
  • Practicing what you've learned during an externship
